The trip will resume!

Well, after a few days at home and with a lot of encouragement from friends and family, we have decide the right thing to do is to resume the trip.

We have picked up the pieces of our truncated expedition both literally and figuratively and after a review of the maps and a heart-to-heart between myself and Ben, we decided to proceed.  We are still held to the same schedule, and have no desire to run any more of the Racquet River, so we will resume in Maine.

We had plans to meet friends along the trail to paddle together and take a couple slow days.  We will now use that time to relaunch out trip.

Through the generosity of friends loaning us another boat (even after they saw what we did to the last boat) and the understanding of my wonderful wife Elissa, we will redeem a significant portion of this trip, and end on a high note.

Fort Kent, here we come!

PS:  Ben says we WILL come back and finish the section we missed.
